7th Global Inter-religious Conference on Article 9 To Be Held March 2 and 3

The 7th Global Inter-Religious Conference on Article 9 of the Japanese Peace Constitution Article 9 will be held on March 2nd (Tuesday) to 3rd (Wednesday). Initially, it was scheduled to be held in Okinawa last year, but due to the outbreak of COVID-19, it was forced to be rescheduled and will be held online in March this year. Rev. SHOJI Tsutomu, former NCCJ General Secretary passed away on August 28, at the age of 88. See the Condolence Message from NCCK and "Tribute and Appreciation for Rev. Shoji" by Rev. Consultation of NCCK and NCCJ

The National Council of Churches in Korea and the National Christian Council in Japan held a joint consultation on "Peaceful Reunification of Korean Peninsula and the Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution" June 11. This was a part of NCCK's campaign for a Korea Peace Treaty in Northeast Asia. 20 participants from Korea, 9 from Europe and North America, and 9 from Japan participated in this half-day consultation.
